01Overview

Somos Escocia runs guided tours across Scotland for Spanish-speaking travellers — Edinburgh, the Highlands, Loch Ness and beyond. We built the platform behind it: tour and city pages, guide profiles, a travel blog, and enquiry flows, all in five languages and all editable by the team without touching code.

02The challenge

Travellers research a trip long before they book, and they do it in their own language. The business needed to be found for the searches that actually convert — tours in a specific city, in Spanish — while giving a small team the ability to publish new tours and articles themselves. Doing that across five languages, with content that changes every season, isn't something a hand-coded site can keep up with.

03The solution

We paired a fast Next.js front end with a headless CMS, so tours, cities, guides, and blog posts are all managed by the team from one admin. Each city and tour has its own optimised page with structured data, and the whole site is translated per locale rather than machine-flipped — so the Spanish version reads like it was written in Spanish, because it was.

04How it helps

Travellers find you in their own language

City and tour pages are built for the searches people actually type — with structured data so Google can show prices, ratings, and dates in results.

The team publishes without a developer

New tours, seasonal pricing, guides, and blog articles are all added from the CMS. No deploy, no waiting, no invoice for a copy change.

Five languages, one codebase

Spanish, English, German, Italian, and French run from the same site with per-locale URLs — so each market gets its own indexable pages.

Enquiries land where the team can act on them

Tour pages, contact forms, and the blog all funnel into the same enquiry flow, with confirmations sent automatically.

06Outcome

Somos Escocia has a platform its own team runs day to day — new tours and articles go live in minutes, each language market has real indexable pages instead of a translated afterthought, and the same foundation now powers its sister brand for Paris.
